October 2008
Dear Potential Sponsor:
Our trail sponsorship
program’s first few years were a great success and we enjoyed hearing all the
positive comments from riders, neighboring clubs
and directly from the VAST office based on feedback they received.
Once again, the Barre Town Thunder Chickens Snowmobile club is offering a trail sponsorship program to help promote local businesses and raise money for the club. Monies raised will help defray the yearly expenditures of running our non-profit club. These expenses include things like routine maintenance and fuel for our Tucker Cat Groomer, postage/mailing services, excavating, materials (lumber, barb wire, gates, chains, locks, trail signage), insurance, rent, trail clearing equipment and costs related to upkeep and service the equipment, and providing a Snowmobile Safety Course for our younger riders.
With your help, along with volunteers of the club, we are able to provide and maintain over 40 miles of trails that allow riders to enjoy the beautiful countryside of the Barre Town and Berlin areas. It is great to see the growing number of families out enjoying the beauty that our state offers.
In addition to contributing to the recreational sport of snowmobiling, our club is also involved in several charitable fundraisers. We participate in the Make-A-Wish of Vermont ride-in. We also work with the organizers of the Cystic Fibrosis Border to Border ride marking their route as it passes through our area. To date we have raised over $11,000 to benefit the Travis Mercy Memorial Skate Park at the Barre Town Recreational Area.
These events are all made possible due to having the availability of a trail network. The sponsorship program assists us in making that possible.
The sponsorship period is for the upcoming riding season, December 15, 2008 through April 15, 2009
The estimated Number of Registered Snowmobiles in the Washington County area clubs is 2000 in addition to out of town riders coming through our trail system, or riding from our local hotels.
For a donation of $250 we will provide a 12” square sign to be located at one of our trail intersections on a Trail Sponsorship board. In addition we will make mention on our website and newsletter.
Thanks in advance for considering the support our club, should you have any questions, please feel free to contact David Rouleau 371-1279. Checks can be made payable to Barre Town Thunder Chickens Snowmobile Club and mailed to the above address.
Thanks Again,
David A. Rouleau
