About Us

We were founded in 1971 by a group of snowmobile enthusiasts who have stayed involved with the workings of the club over the years, either directly or indirectly through their children and grandchildren. Although many things have changed in the snowmobile community over the last 30 years, the main mission of the club is still intact. Our mission is to provide and maintain the VAST network through our region. We do this by maintaining and grooming over 39 miles of trails which make up our local system.

Our system leads you to our adjoining neighbors, The Snobees of Barre to the North, The Billtown Moonshiners to the Southwest and the Washington Snow Flyers to the Southeast.

Many hours of volunteer time is donated in an effort to provide the trails to ride on.  Without people willing to volunteer their time, we would not be able to perform the necessary trail maintenance of clearing trees, construction projects, placing signs, picking up signs, marking road crossings, working with town select boards, VAST, Law enforcement and the landowners.

For the current riding season, we have worked with and acquired over sixty landowner permission slips in an effort to provide our system.  Without the generous permission of landowners in allowing us to use their land, the enjoyment of recreational snowmobiling would not be possible.  Please respect THEIR property and obey all signs that clubs have posted.  Snowmobiling is a privilege, not a right. Take a moment to thank the landowners as you ride or come in contact with them.

We Groom our system with our 1988 Tucker Cat, operated by one of three groomers.  To keep the conditions up we divide the system in two and groom a side each on two nights early in the week and the complete system on Friday and Saturday night to account for the heavier traffic of the weekend.
